Today I was able to work on the Cold War Paper again since a couple of days ago. I am still on the investigating part of the essay. Today I mainly spent looking at the effects of the Cold War on the US military, the changes that were made after the war which were both a little positive and negative, depending on what relation one had to it. This information was found on a book from the Congress library, which seems to me that could be labeled as a primary source. I read and took notes from the book. I will continue to search up information about the effects of the Cold War on the USSR and the US, within about a week I should likely be at the planning of the format of the essay and within that, starting to take action in writing it. The only thing that has not been going well I the time, I wish I had more time to work on this, I can't really say what days are my work days for this paper or not, other than that, everything seems in a pretty good standing point to me.

Today was a continued day based off from yesterday. The investigation process continued, just enough time to finish though, and I think that probaly tomorrow or the day after that I will be able to start the research that will be the major contribution to answering the prompt to the Cold War Paper. After that, with the actual trustworthy sources, I will be able to start planning out the format of the the essay and then be able to actually start writing the essay. In that way, I guess that I can say that I am on the schedule that I would've liked. The back information that I have gathered, including all the general Cold War information I feel is a great back up so that I will be able to understand and better search effects both positive and negative effects that the Cold War had on the united states and the USSR.
Total time spent: 1 hour I am still currently in the investigating process for the Cold War Paper, I am not very sure if I am on schedule where I would like to be because of other homework and other projects just as important as this one, I have been trying to balance them all out. I figured that this project and another one from chemistry are due at about the same date, in about three weeks, so far I have tried to do back-up research about the cold war in general to be able to very soon start to research information in order to answer the essay prompt. The research has been going well, I am basically almost done with the research about the Cold War in general, which is what I mostly spent doing today. I was not able to finish off that, though in these very soon couple of days I am sure to be able to gather the information involving the positive and negative effects of the Cold War on the United States and the USSR. The only thing that has been quite a little difficult has been finding the appropiate sources for inforamtion and judging their trustworthyness, I do not have very many so far. Tomorrow I will finish off this process hopefully.
Total time spent: 2 hours A couple of days have gone by since I last worked on this project, about a week. I am still in the process of investigating. Though it has been a couple of days, so far I feel on schedule with the project, I think that I will have enough time to research and write the report, ofcourse, if I am able to manage the time. The research has been going well, so far, today I planned out the research process that I will undergo to hold the information needed in order to produce a well extended esssay response to the chosen prompt. The first step of my research is to understand exactly what was and what caused the Cold War (basically done), the second step is to understand the effects of the tensions between the USSR and the USA during the time of the Cold War, which includes its relationships to affected countries such as Korea and Vietnam. Third step is to know of the history that occured within the USR and the USA as the end of the Cold War approached and history that was fresh after the war ended. The fourth and last step will ultimately answer the prompt question, this step will aqcuire searching of the actual negative and positive effects that the Cold War had on the USSR and the USA right after the war ended all the way up to date. Though the last step is the one which will contain all information that is mostly needed, I must go through the few steps before the last one, previously described in order to get my brain around the situation and really do an in-depth understanding of this war. Only this way, I believe will I fully be able to answer with the effects of this war on the two nations which will bring about the present and possibly even bring ideas about any future movements. The planning done today made me feel really secure about the chosen prompt and I hope everything goes well. After the planning, I did a little more continued research of events during the Cold War, which concludes the work done this day.
Total time spent: 45 minutes There has been at least three days since I started to work on the project, it does not seem a lot, but I do not like it. There is another major project in my Honors Chemistry class that will be due about two weeks before this paper is due, so I have been working a lot on that project. The next few days will be very busy, so I did what I could today and hope to work on the research again within the next couple of days. Today I continued with the little research that I left on a few days ago about the basic information of what the Cold War was all about, just to get myself in a good position so that I can start brainstorming of other possible research that needs to be done. That is mainly all that I was able to accomplish.
Total time spent: 45 minutes Today was the first day that started the official Cold War Paper. The project was given to us a few days ago, and so far I have chosen my prompt which is, "In what ways did the legacy of the Cold War have a positive and negative effect on the Soviet Union and the United States?" As a start, I can assume that I am on schedule with the project, currently this stage of the Design Cycle of the Action Plan is just starting investigation. Hopefully everything will flow smoothly between this project and other homework, plus activities. I have started to do just a little research on basic information of the Cold War.
